Medispecialty & OBGYN.net Spam Blocker

Copy your rejected email error notice and send to abuse@medispecialty.com.
That email address should accept all email even if otherwise rejected.
In most cases the problem can be resolved once we know about it.

Because of the high volume of UCE (unsolicited commercial email) and Spam that is being sent to Medispecialty, Obgyn.net & other domains we operate we have been forced to do aggressive spam blocking. Unfortunately, this occassionally results in a legitimate email message getting blocked.

We have implemented the following lines of defense against spam:

  1. explicit blocking by user name and/or domain name.
  2. blocking of messages that do not have legitimate domain names.
  3. blocking of messages that have malformed or missing mail headers.
  4. use of over a dozen blackhole databases which eliminates hundreds of thousands of known or suspected spammer sites, sites are eliminated that are open relays (anybody can use them to send mail), dialup sites that try to directly connect to us, and explicitly reported spammers.
  5. rejection of emails with executables or scripts attached to them (i.e., viruses).
  6. blocking by message content (subject line, etc.).
  7. extremely aggressive additional blocking by content on forum messages.

If you got here by a email message from us it should say why it was rejected. Often times it will be due to one or more of the blackhole databases. If that is the case probably the best thing to do is forward the error message to your local mail administrator who can then resolve the problem.

Often times the problem can be quickly resolved. Your mail adminstrator should go to the site listed in the error message reporting the problem such as relays.osirusoft.com and read the instructions on how to resolve the problem and quickly get your site removed from the blackhole databases. If we are rejecting your email due to blackhole listing then others will be too. It is in your mail administrator's interest to get this problem quickly resolved.

Check your SMTP server at one time against many of the blackhole databases by clicking here or here.

In the interim, we can explicitely program our mail server to accept mail even though it is listed in the blackhole databases or has other problems. We recommend you contact us so we can setup the system to accept your email.

If you can go to a different account or server (like hotmail or yahoo) send us an email to abuse@medispecialty.com and be sure to copy and paste in the error message we are sending to you so we can see what the problem is. If you can not email to our normal address send the email to elecomm@msn.com or else call +1 732 828-6382. Forum messages can also be sent by the web form rather then email at forums.obgyn.net.
